I was so happy to be part of the wedding below because I LOVE these 2 people. I have to love one of them, as he is my Brother and I just plain love the other one, who is now my Sister-in-Law! They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and they are as cute as ever. This wedding was a laugh out loud, drink from the bottle, no shoes, band on the roof kind of event. It was magical. An ocean view ceremony, a tee-pee hangout, and pure love. Check out more here!
I am clearly seven years behind but what the heck. I just love this. Any cool brides out there….please use this. I will petition Vitamin String Quartet to do AC/DC. Nevermind……my life is complete.
The video is up for Alana + Chris…. straight up the most. beautiful. couple. of. all. time. They got married last October in Santa Barbara and it was gorgeous, fun , and filled with so much love. Check out photos here!
The videographer was Kris Hanson of Red Carousel Films. Great guy to work with. See it here or below!!
If you haven’t heard of Stephanie St. Claire, please look her up. She is AMAZING! I think I found her through Pinterest and felt an immediate connection to her and her mission! Basically, she teaches people how to kick ass in love, life, and work. I am totally into it. I have done her Vision Board workshop, worked with her to create a custom Manifesto, and recently signed up for her Bad Ass Broad workshop. This lady knows how to light a fire under you to create the life or business you have always wanted. She is awesome. I am so proud of my Manifesto, I wanted to share it with all of you!! When I look at it, it reminds me of what I want my life to be about and how I get there. Love it!
Happy Thursday everyone! I know….it has been awhile. I constantly am in this battle of trying to get blog posts done and then I convince myself that its OK not to because I am actually working EVENTS…but yes, I do need to spend more time here. So….here is a peek at an event I did through Pink Cloud 9 (great DIY based coordinating group). I freelance for them on occasion. It gives me my DAY-OF fix!
If you haven’t checked out Sanford Winery. Do it! So beautiful and serene. Their staff is amazing. Um…also….maybe most importantly……they produce super good WINE! I have my third wedding there coming up in September and I love it. Wit & Wiley will be doing design and florals for that one.
This couple was awesome to work with. So kind and adorable. You could feel the love. Those are my favorite couples to work with. For them, it was more about their marriage than their wedding. Take a look! Doesn’t look like they had ANY fun!
Happy Friday to all of you lovelies. This week we are all about the pale blue wedding dress. While the trend has existed for a few seasons now, the tradition of wearing something blue has been around for ages. Typically I don’t love light blue, but these gowns are just so romantic, effortless looking and gorgeous. Just love them. Take a look-see.
Hello! Happy Tuesday! I just wrote a quick blog post on behalf on Pink Cloud 9 on how to figure out your wedding style! I included a few shortcuts on coming up with a theme you can carry through your wedding that is perfectly tailored to you and your fiance! Below is the gist of it! Check out the full post here!
Where did you meet? Is there a place or setting that has special meaning to you and/or your families? What is your favorite season? Answers to these questions might point you to when and where to get hitched!
What are your favorite colors? What are your favorite flowers? How have you decorated your home? What’s in your closet? Taking cues from your wardrobe and home decor can inform the formality of your wedding, color palette, flower choice, and overall design.
What do you do for fun? What is your favorite music? What food can you not live without? These are hints to what your party favors might be, what song you will walk down the aisle to, and what guests will have for dessert!
Finally, and maybe most importantly, think about who you are as a couple, and what your passions are. Do you want to continue a family tradition, include cultural heirlooms, or raise awareness for a cause? These answers can guide your decisions on the overall guest experience, food & beverage choices, and entertainment.
Use Pinterest, shelter magazines, and blogs to see what jumps out at you. You should start to see a pattern developing between images.
